Myrana

Page history last edited by Myrrh 13 years, 10 months ago

Myrana Tarris is a relatively quiet, well-meaning sort of young lady. Though she worked for a while as a mercenary with the Alexandrian military, she has recently begun to secure a more peaceful sort of living as barmaid. The military still hires her from time to time, often as a healer's assistant, for she's quite practiced in field medicine and practical healing. Currently she is working on opening up a place of her own in the Industrial District.

On occaision she is hired by the military as an Irregular. She keeps her opinions to herself, and while she doesn't always think things through completely, her heart seems to be in the right place. Often enough she can be found experimenting in the kitchen and with a small, cobbled-together distillery. Hard ciders and stouts are her specialty, though lately she's been experimenting with dessert liquors.

Familiar:  Vihrea (Elven), Rum (Common)

One day while taking stock at the Red Haven, Myrana came across a sealed firkin of Brickbottom's Copper's Vihrea that felt distinctly lighter than it should. Not wanting to catch hell from Mister Rombauer over something like this, she lifted it down and pried it open. Inside, soaked and looking quite shaken, a small fold-ear Coupari cat just as green as moss was revealed. It was not what Myrana had expected... but then, what can you expect from Gnome Brews? Upon wiping away the dirt from the outside of the barrel, Myrana discovered that the apostrophe was in fact a bit of mud. In fact, the label read: Brickbottom's Copper Vihrea. Not knowing what else to do, Myrana scooped up little Vihrea and got back to work.

Now the coupari is rarely far from Myrana's shoulders. No bigger than a large potato and all but tailess on top of that, he fits quite comfortably into the pocket of Myra's coat or up in the collar of her coat like a furry, narcoleptic neck-warmer. The green never faded from Vihrea's fur, and he has yet to grow more than an inch. (But then, being soaked like a pickle by something concocted by a Gnome for gods-know-how-long, it's lucky he hasn't got wierder mutations.)

-note: Vihrea is a type of green rum popularized by elven brewers who use special sugars and herbs. It is much loved among certain circles, though it's really rather an aqquired taste.
