Fame! Glory! Cold Hard Cash! Whatever motivates you, there's always adventure to be found in and around Alexandros. Take today, for example. There's a bounty up for bandits that have been hounding some of the ground-based trade routs into alexandria itself.

You all find yourselves in the guild of explorers, where the bounty is posted.

Hard cash isn't her driving goal in life, but it does make things alot easier. Teena heads to the Explorer's guild, idly cleaning her rifle as she waits for her name to be called.

Moneymoneymoneymoneymoneymoney. Eegah heads to the Explorer's Guild, toting his normal obscene amount of gear around. He's not in this for the money at all. Nope. Not a bit.

It is more curiousity than the need for other things that has brought the Mithril Golem here today. But still Ciaran is here and he has his pack slung over one shoulder. He glances around, taking in the details of the guild and also the others that have gathered as well.

Tongta is meanwhile playing with her set of strikable matches, happy as a clam as she looks over the bounty. She certainly likes cash, but mostly, she likes the idea of a chance to burn something without being yelled at for it. She even sings to herself,"Burn... burn it to the ground..." A couple of less experienced adventurers nearby take a step or two back from her. Just in case.

Eegah perks up at the song, and chimes in, also loving it, big grin on his face. Also, there are burns all over his small body, very recently sustained, apparently. "Big things to burn, and little ones tooooooo........"

Teena shakes her head as she looks at the Mad woman and her new partner, the mad goblin. "Keep those away from my powder." she grumbles.

And so the lot of you are gathered together! After a little browsing, the bandit bounty seems like it's the most probable chance for adventure. So, you sign up for it, and out you head out- map says they're attacking the same place so they must be based near it.

Ciaran turns and glances towards the two for a moment, a tilt of his head and then over towards

Teena and then nods, and heads out with the others.

GAME: Tongta casts mage armor.

Teena looks at the others, "I don't suppose any of you are any better at tracking than I am.

Tongta follows along the group, even as she pats herself down, checks her staff, and readies her mage armor, a light glow dancing over her fingertips and eyes briefly,"I'm very good at burning things!" She answers Teena thusly, then looks to Eegah, as if she expects it to be accorded a masterful solution to the tracking problem.

Ciaran looks at the others, "I was not crafted with such things in mind." he shakes his head, "I am Ciaran, and an artificer. Tracking I do not know." the mithril golem replies.

Eegah shrugs, making sure his various bits and pieces are all accounted for. "I don't know about tracking, either. But, I bet we can go to where they attack and wait for them? Or, you know." He pats Ciaran, grinning. "We can set a baited trap." He's got that annoyingly high goblin voice, the one that makes you want to strangle him.

Teena rolls her eyes, "I should have been a ranger." She begins to search the edge of the attack area. Hopefully the number of bandits will make it easier to follow.

Tongta beams,"I've got a plan! Everyone keep an eye out!" Then she raises her voice,"WHATEVER SHALL I DO WITH THIS FORTUNE IN GOLD! I WISH I HAD SOME GUARDS TO KEEP IT SAFE!"

Eegah looks at Tongta, blinking. In a low voice, he hisses, "That's a horrible plan! See, the problem is, you gotta be loud!" He then raises his voice as well. <goblin>

Ciaran tilts his head and looks at the female that is shouting, "Females of different species appear to be less rational than the male at times." he looks over at Eagah and then Teena, "Which is more rational of your species?" the golem does glance around still, keeping its metallic eyes open.

The goblin with the large rifle hoists it over her shoulder, not quite the normal way to fire a weapon like this, but she's a foot and a half shorter than her weapon. She's not pointing it at the bows yet, waiting to make sure everyone's ready.

Eegah grins, and pulls his pistol. Shorter range than a bow, sure, but lots more stopping power. Plus? It explodes. In the general direction of the enemy. Usually.

One of the bandits draws back his bow, and then... fires. The shot is not very good, and goes wide, slamming into the ground at the Goblin girl's feet.

Teena frowns as she looks down, spotting the arrow at her feet. She swings the massive barrel around, btu she's a fighter and cleaver. Instead of shooting the one who's allready fired, she looks for someone who's ready to fire and shoots them instead.

Smiling as the arrow twangs uselessly and falls to the ground as a very large hole appears in the Bandit's head. She immediately begins to reload the weapon.

Eegah sights down the length of the barrel of his pistol, and fires off a round, which disappears into the bush. Grumbling, his fingers fly over the piece and his belt, reloading it in the blink of an eye. Clearly, he's been practicing.

GAME: Tongta casts burning hands.

Tongta meanwhile slips her quarterstaff to a strap on her back, palms a dart, and then raises her free hand, ready to gesture in their direction,"Oh, right. HOWEVER SHALL WE- Hey!" This in response to the arrow. With a grunt, she forms a triangle with her thumb and pointer fingers, murmurs something under her voice, then blows between them. A cone of fire blossoms out towards two bandits from the center of the triangle, setting them on fire, as they drop to the ground screaming, smoking, and blazing. "Jerks."

Ciaran tilts his head to the side as he notices them and the others getting pretty good shots off. He pulls a cylinder with some dials and knobs on it. He turns a couple of them and then points it at one of the bandits. The cylinder glows, brighter at the base and then up to the tip where a bolt of energy flies forth. The missile of magic flies and strikes one of the bandits which falls as it scorches him.

The remaining two look at each other. "I don't think these guys are really merchants." one says, the other says, "No shit! just shut up and shoot them!" and they both draw their bows, firing off two more arrows which entirely fail to hit home on their targets, one bouncing off the magical force field surrounding Tongta, the other glancing off Ciaran's metal carapace.

Teena finishes reloading in good time, as practiced as her fellow goblin when it comes to firearms. She swings the rifle around and pot shots the secondlast bandit, "Keep the last one alive, we need to find the camp."

GAME: Eegah rolls melee: (19)+2: 21

GAME: Eegah rolls 1d3+1: (1)+1: 2

Eegah looks at his pistol, frowns, and lets out a warcry, then hurls himself at the last remaining archer, covering the ground impossibly fast for such a small person. Howling, he leaps into the air, headfirst, and his heavy iron goggles slam into the man's stomach, causing him to 'oof!' in pain. "Ha! Take that, you stupid archer!" <goblin>

GAME: Chiddle rolls 1d20+1: (9)+1: 10

GAME: Tongta casts daze.

Tongta rolls her eyes in a good-natured fashion as the bandit that has just been headbutted, and then flicks her hand in his direction, muttering. As the magic stuns the man for a moment, she says,"There's your captive."

The last remaining human is already setting down his bow when the little goblin headbuts him. He stumbles back, "Ah! What the hell was that for!?" He asks, shocked and apalled at his rough treatment.

Ciaran looks back and then lowers the cylinder and puts it back into his pack for a moment and glances around, "If that is all of them we should find the camp and be done with it."

Teena wanders over to the Bandit, shaking her head, "Sorry, we forgot his leash, though I did remember the vacine. If he bites you let me know." She is reloading her rifle calmly, and the way she clicks the barrel when she says 'vacine' might give the bandit something to consider.

Eegah grins up at the man, showing his pointy teeth. "Don't move, humie! Next time, I'll aim lower!"

Tongta rolls her eyes, and then clutches a dart firmly, walks up to the man, and SHOUTS,"I SWEAR TO ELUNA WE WILL BURN YOU TO DEATH IF YOU DON'T TAKE US TO YOUR CAMP!" She looks to Eegah, and wonders,"How was that?"

Teena mutters something in Dwarven.

Ciaran tilts his head, "I shall have to remember that for future analysis of the species." there is a slight shake to the head as he watches them all with the bandit.

The human holds up his hands, "H-hey! alright! Take me to the guards or... whatever! I'd rather be hanged than headbutted again by this guy!" He says. As they start talking about a camp, "...You don't wanna go to the camp. The boss is in the camp, he's scary..."

Teena offers her own toothy smile to the bandit, "How about you show us where the camp is, then get smart and vanish when we 'forget to keep our eye on you'.

Eegah grins at Tongta. "Better! But, you gotta get in his face. And spit a little. And roll your eyes. Like this." He jumps up, eyes bugging out of his head, and slobbers all over the man as he screams, right in his face, "PUNY HUMIE! TAKE US OR TASTE OUR WRATHHH!!!!"

The guy sidles away from the clearly insane goblin a bit, actually taking refuge by Teena, "Alright, I'll show you the way. But if you don't kill him, he'll kill you, and then he'll kill me. And I don't want to be killed." he says.

Ciaran nods and follows after, "Well now seems more like the male is the insane one." he shakes his head a bit and wonders.

Eegah merely grins, ear to ear, and follows along, humming something that you probably don't want the words to.

Teena smiles to Ciaran, "I haven't done anything insane... yet." She keeps her rifle prepped as she follows the bandit.

And so the group +1 head out, following the captured bandit some way off the road into some very sparse trees. "The camp's just inside there. Should be easy to find. Most of the traps are busted now, but watch where you step." He says, "So... uh... can I leave?"

Teena deliberately turns away from the bandit, ignoring his question, "Now I know that one of you should be able to deal with traps."

Tongta shakes her head at the bandit and shakes her head,"No. You're going to lead us through the traps, and if you mess up, you'll get exploded by a trap or burned by one of us. So there."

Ciaran looks at them all, "I have some knowledge of traps, yes, but placement given and determined by one of their own would assist in such things, but it could be dealth with by other means if need."

The guy looks worried, "Hey, you said I could go when I showed you! This aint fair!" He complains.

Tongta raises an eyebrow at the guy, then begins muttering arcane-sounding words as she points at him.

Teena holds up her hand, "Let him go. We're adventurers, we can figure this out without him."

Tongta holds up a hand as well,"Actually... I'm kind of just an arsonist on parole." She looks left and right, after this statement to se if she gets any laughs. "Anyone... anyone? No?"

Ciaran nods, "I should be able to make a good effort to locate traps and such."

No one laughs, everyone takes the statement at face value.

The guy kind of cowers when the mage starts pointing at him and casting spells. "Please, I didn't even want to be a bandit!"

No one laughs, everyone takes the statement at face value. "Get out of here, while you're still not a bandit."

Tongta eyes the man, and then, decides, unilaterally, clapping a hand on his shoulder,"Okay. Then, from now on, you're my manservant. The pay is low, but you'll get food, and I promise not to sacrifice you for the purposes of arcane might."

Ciaran looks at each in turn and then shrugs, "Go." he says looking at the bandit again and then at the others, "Shall we? I am curious to meet this boss."

at Teena's instruciton, the guy begins to sidle off and, when he thinks he can get away with it, he'll make a break for it. Run awaaaaaaay.

Teena shakes her head, "One more down." She looks to Ciaran, who's volunteered. "You're up, I'll keep an eye out for more trouble." Looking to the shouters, "Try and keep your voices down this time."

Eegah grins at the man, crouching and moving towards him menacingly, growling low in his throat. "Yeah, that's right. Run! Run! MWUHAHAHAH!"

He has an excellent evil laugh. Comes from being a mad scientist, you know.

Tongta makes a cutting motion across her throat, then notes to Ciaran,"Let me know when you see a burnable structure. I'll know what to do."

Ciaran shakes his head and then nods and turns towards the stand of trees and starts to move towards it. He is looking for traps as he walks along.

Teena clocks Eegah on the back of the head at the evil laugh, like a big sister might give to a little brother, "I said keep it down."

Ciaran doesn't notice any traps but does notice the boss, hiding in the bush. The guy is somewhat more competant than his underlings. He fires off two quick bow shots towards the guy who missiled him, quickly disabling the war golem with well placed shots to the joints. "Looks like it's working to me. Back off, or you'll all be pincussions." He calls back.

ANother dwarven curse from the Gobbo girl as she reloads on the fly. The Golem being down is bad, so she tries to snap off a shot through the fire. But she's rushing things and the bullet goes wide, tearing off a nearby tree branch.

Tongta meanwhile begins to scamper back to find a tree or bush for her to take a little cover behind, then makes a triangle with her hands, mutters, and blows between it. Fire sprays out, scorching the man and setting his bush aflame. "Ooooh! I was planning on burning that metal guy later! Dirty pull, old man!"

GAME: Chiddle rolls 1d20+10: (7)+10: 17

The man falls abckwards as he is shot with the bullet, and lets out a yell of pain. He scrambles for more, not currently burning brush to hide in, and then fires another arrow at Teena. This time, he only manages to hit the armor she's wearing.

Eegah snaps off another shot, but it entirely misses, yet again. Gritting his teeth, he takes careful aim, following the man's motions, and takes his time this time. The shot explodes out, striking the man full in the chest and punching through the other side. Eegah laughs in triumph, doing a little celebratory dance.

Tongta relaxes a little as she approaches the bandit once he's downed, and then reaches out a finger and points at the man. "For hurting our comrade, his face shall melt... Oh... wait... um... is he dead?" She frowns, then walks over to the boss,"ARE YOU DEAD?"

Teena starts towards the fallen Golem, but then looks to the other Goblin, "This is your job." She moves over to follow with Tongta, "You need a volume control of some kind."

While the group may have some trouble carrying their mechanized companion home, given two of them are govlins and the remainder is a mage, there will be repairshops wiating for him on his arrival to tend to his damage. The group will be paid for neutralizing the threat, and the guy they let go will buy a farm, or something.
