Desc:

A somewhat tall human with a tussled mass of medium gray hair, thinning a bit but still mostly intact. A large handlebar mustache adorns his face, black with prominant bits of gray. His pale face is heavily furrowed and scarred with numerous small, white star-like scars, cheeks somewhat drooping like a hound. His body fares much the same; his body seems to hang on an overly-large frame. Banded mail covers much of his body; while at first it looks absurd, like a walrus peering out of a tall barrel, there is a certain attitude, humor, and intensity that somehow lends a nobility to him.

Despite signs of infirmity and age, there is something powerful about him -- he has an easy smile and prone to laughter, a humor he shares with those around him. And when the laughter dies down, his brown eyes are deep and thoughtful, with a quiet intensity that borders on the alarming.

Along with the banded mail, he has a small oval steel buckler on his left forearm and nothing more than a four-foot length of oak inscribed with simple eye symbols in his right hand; it seems more of a walking stick than any true weapon. A small canvas bag is often slung over one shoulder.

Pendleton Brundelssen is a second generation Myrrish man. His father, Brundel, fought to liberate Alexandria, eventually marrying a camp follower and settling in the city to raise a family. Brundel returned to his first profession and established a family business brewing ales.

Pendleton, as a youth, gained more of an interest in wines and distilled liquors, working with his brothers to branch out the family business. He always had a fascination with books and study, and soon set out to learn secret brewing lore from elves and dwarves.

In his dealings, he spent time with the clerics of Animus, and took to their quiet faith. From that time on, he became a seeker of knowledge. He also because a patriot, of sorts; he loved Alexandria and all it stood for, though with the idea that all good of Alexandria descended from the 'source' of civilization -- Myrddion.

He has been married for 20 years to Marny, a daughter of Myrrish merchants. He has 4 children: Radger (19), Zigmund (17), Nara (16), and Jon (9).

Four years ago (2005) he grew increasingly irate about the growing anti-Myrrish sentiment in Alexandria, and finally decided to move his family west. He gave up his responsibilities for the brewing business in Alexandria and began setting up a new branch of the business in the western wilds of Alexandros.

Two years later, while investigating reports of undead in the Red Ridge mountain, his party was overrun. For several long days he was trapped in a crypt, tormented and fed on by undead, kept barely alive so they could nibble on his soul. He was rescued by his eldest son, Radger, and a few strong companions, the undead vanquished. For the past year he has been convalescing.

Recently, given trouble along the border and problems with his business in western Alexandros, he and his family have moved back to Alexandria. He is now working with his brothers once again. But now the old itch to get out there has returned, to learn new things, to find new secrets. And perhaps, despite the fire of his soul banking down to a small coal, there is a certain wisdom and strength he did not have before.
